Dear Oma,

School is not good and not bad. There is still snow and it is cold and dark like night when Mama wake me and Jean-Claude up in the morning. I wish there are stars to make the night look more friendly.

The one good thing about school is going to see Ms. Taylor. Ikran and me are writing about what makes a good frend because we are getting ready for Valentines Day! Soon we will make valentines cards. Ha ha, I hope you will like the one I will make for you! Hassan is working on making words and reading them. He is not happy we can do more than him.

We are also making a card for Ms. Taylor. It is a SECRET. Ikran and me work on it in our regular class. And then I have an idea! We can make a card for Ms. Taylor and say it is from Mr. Dan! And maybe we can also give one to Mr. Dan and say it is from Ms. Taylor! I think maybe Ikran was understanding me. For goodness sake what a PLAN! We have a lot of work to do but it will be so, so fun! I tell Jenna. Yay for our new PLAN!

Miss sent home a letter to Mama and all the parents today saying each student will give valentines cards to all the students. This means I have to give one to Hassan. I am not happy but then I think he will not be happy having to give one to me too. Ha ha!
